Ashlyn Dyer Foundation Update

March 9, 2009

To Ashlyn Dyer Foundation Supporters,

We would personally like to express our gratitude to each of you for your support for the Ashlyn Dyer Foundation. Our hearts are warmed by your positive response and your willingness to support and make a real difference in memory of Ashlyn.

As we approach the third year anniversary of her passing, we would like to make you aware of our new project, the Ashlyn Dyer Aquatic Center, a Neuro Rehabilitation Pool at Barrow Neurological Center in Phoenix, Arizona, in memory of Ashlyn. We have pledged $250,000. for this project, paid in installments over the next four years. We are proud and excited to have the naming rights for this aquatic center that will assist traumatic brain injury and spinal injury patients. We are hoping to break ground in March of next year.

We are also excited for the Ashlyn Dyer Memorial ICU Lounge and Conference Room remodel underway at San Francisco General Hospital. Jonathan Tsao, principal architect of Tsao Design Group in San Francisco, has generously donated his time and expertise for this project. Our goal is to make a family’s stay during a time of hardship more comforting through this remodel.

We have developed a banking relationship through Wells Fargo Bank with an investment account and now have the ability to accept credit card donations on the website. The Foundation would like to thank Reed Hecht and his expertise for the web site design and keeping it current.

March 29th will be the third year for the Presidio Run in San Francisco that is sponsored by the Guardsmen philanthropic group in San Francisco. It is a 10K and 10 mile run through the Presidio and over the Golden Gate Bridge and has been well attended. You can register on line at the website, Ashlyn Dyer.com. We cannot thank the Guardsmen enough for their support and helping us with awareness for TBI.

The Delta Tau Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Southern California has raised over $10,000. for the Foundation through their philanthropic fundraisers over the past two years, and we greatly appreciate it. We would also like to thank the Phoenix Thunderbirds and the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust for their continuing support.

Our goals are to keep the Ashlyn Dyer Foundation ongoing, and to continue raising the awareness for Traumatic Brain Injury- the silent epidemic that strikes someone every 15 seconds.

We appreciate all that you have done and look for your continued support. If you are interested in being involved in a fundraising or awareness event please do not hesitate to contact us.

With warm regards,

Ashlyn Dyer Foundation Board of Directors
